Staff Accountant
Partnering with a growing professional services organization in Denver, CO seeking a staff accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to gain broad exposure across accounting operations while working closely with experienced accounting and finance leaders. The role offers a hands-on environment with visibility into the full accounting cycle, opportunities for professional growth, and a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day accounting operations by overseeing routine outsourced accounting activities and helping ensure transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger accuracy, and assist with month-end close activities and account analyses.
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial information.
- Assist with financial planning and analysis activities by compiling data, identifying trends, and supporting internal management reporting.
- Monitor accounting records across multiple systems and platforms, helping maintain data integrity and consistency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external accounting partners to resolve issues, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance accounting processes.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and support initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and strengthening financial controls.
