Senior Accountant
Partnering with a financial services organization in Denver seeking a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will support core accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial reporting. This role oversees essential daily accounting activities, contributes to monthly financial analysis, and provides cross-functional backup across key transactional processes. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and experience working in a multi-entity environment with a hands-on approach to month-end close.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting workflows to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and financial records remain current across multiple entities.
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger accuracy, and support an efficient and timely month-end close process.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank and intercompany accounts, and investigate variances to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage vendor-related accounting activities and contract tracking to support accurate expense recognition and payment processing.
- Assist with monthly financial planning and analysis by compiling data, reviewing trends, and helping prepare reporting insights for leadership.
- Provide backup support for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and credit card reconciliation activities as needed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen accounting controls, improve reporting reliability, and maintain organized supporting documentation.
