Accounting Manager - Assets and Repair

This is an excellent opportunity for a Capital Projects of Fixed Assets Senior Accountant ready to step into a Manager-level role, take greater ownership, and work closely with teams leading significant real estate development and construction projects.

Compensation: Up to $120K + 10% Bonus

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to support the financial operations of large-scale real estate construction, repair, and maintenance projects. This is an individual contributor role and an excellent next step for a strong Senior Accountant with experience in capital projects, fixed assets, construction, or development accounting.

• Manage accounting for capital assets and development projects, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and asset tracking.
• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and roll-forwards.
• Track capital project spending, construction costs, purchases, refurbishment costs, and asset disposals.
• Prepare capital spend, project, and fixed asset reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company capitalization policies.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accurate asset records.
• Partner with Development, Operations, Finance, Tax, and other teams on project-related accounting.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, reconciliations, and automation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong experience with fixed assets, capital projects, construction, real estate development, or inventory accounting

• Strong month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, capitalization, depreciation, and cost accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
