Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid)
Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000

As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's accounting operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting month-end and year-end close activities
- Preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Managing fixed asset accounting, including asset setup, depreciation, disposals, tracking, and monthly reconciliations
- Assisting with audit requests and ensuring financial reporting accuracy
- Supporting accounts payable coding and invoice processing as needed
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis and project support
- Collaborating with cross-functional finance teams to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
Approximately:
- 50% focused on month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities
- 50% dedicated to fixed asset accounting, project work, and accounts payable backup support
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience supporting month-end close processes
- Strong account reconciliation skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Solid understanding of accrual-based accounting principles
- Hands-on fixed asset accounting experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
- Experience in multi-entity, real estate, property management, or project-based accounting environments
- Exposure to financial audits and reporting processes
- Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
- Experience assisting with system implementations or process improvements is a plus
