Our client is a rapidly growing commercial construction company looking for a Staff Accountant who is eager to learn, take on new challenges, and grow alongside the business. This is not a narrow accounting role. You will gain exposure to A/P, A/R, project accounting, month-end close, and accounting systems, while playing an important role in the company’s continued growth and technology transformation.

- Take ownership of day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities while developing expertise in construction project accounting
- Support accounting across multiple entities and gain exposure to project financials, job costing, and construction-specific accounting processes
- Assist with the integration and optimization of operational systems with the ERP, helping create more efficient workflows between systems
- Participate in data validation, reconciliations, testing, and process improvements as new systems and technology are implemented
- Support the monthly close process, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and other accounting activities
- Partner with the Controller and accounting team to identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve data accuracy
- Learn new areas of accounting and take on additional responsibilities as the company grows
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within construction or a related industry
- Experience with ERP systems and operational systems
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred; strong construction accounting experience will also be considered
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with technology and learning new accounting systems
- A curious, proactive mindset with a genuine desire to learn
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and jump into different areas of accounting
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Salary: $75-90K, depending on experience
