Bookkeeper​/Payroll Specialist

Position Type:
Full-time (32 hours/week after tax season)

Compensation: $24-$27 (depending on credentials and experience)

We are pleased to announce an opening for a Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist at a long-established public accounting firm in the Denver West area.

Job responsibilities include:

• Payroll - Preparation and e-filing of client's quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and W-2s
• Review client provided financial statements, general ledger and accounts reconciliations
• Discuss questions and issues with client
• Prepare journal entries for corrections and adjustments,
• Provide revised financial statements to Staff Accountant

What we’re looking for:

• Prior work experience that includes Bookkeeping and payroll tax preparation for multiple clients
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on payroll experience e-filing Federal and state payroll taxes for clients
• Substantial experience with Quick Books, and a good understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency with technology (Microsoft Office Suite and Google) and eagerness to learn
• Strong communication and organization skills, and attention to detail
