Within our Corporate Financial Shared Services team located in Denver, Leprino is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to help strengthen the payroll operations supporting our corporate office and manufacturing locations across the country. In this role, you’ll lead and develop a talented payroll team, improve processes, and help ensure thousands of employees are paid accurately and on time. At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $90,000 and $102,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 10%.
What You’ll Do:- Lead and develop a team of Payroll Specialists supporting weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing across Leprino’s corporate office and eight manufacturing locations.
- Review and approve payrolls, ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and according to applicable requirements.
- Coach team members, provide training, assign work, and support their continued professional development.
- Resolve complex payroll discrepancies, system issues, tax concerns, and sensitive employee pay inquiries.
- Coordinate monthly bonus processing, establish timelines, review calculations, and confirm accurate payments.
- Review payroll journal entries and support month-end closing activities with Finance and other business partners.
- Oversee federal, state, and local payroll tax activities, including UKG tax filings and year-end W-2 processing.
- Maintain accurate payroll structures, policies, workflows, and reporting within UKG and workforce management systems.
- Build reports that help teams understand payroll data while protecting confidential employee information.
- Improve payroll processes and system workflows to strengthen accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
- Partner with plant teams, IT, Finance, Legal, and third-party providers to resolve issues and support payroll projects.
- Help shape a payroll operation built around accurate pay, strong relationships, and continuous improvement!
- Five years of progressive payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll processing.
- Two years of experience leading or supervising employees.
- Experience processing payroll across multiple states and applying federal, state, and local payroll requirements.
- Experience using Kronos, UKG Workforce Management, or a comparable time and attendance system.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including using spreadsheets to review, reconcile, and report payroll data.
- A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
- Experience using UKG for payroll processing, tax administration, reporting, or system configuration.
- Experience supporting payroll within a multi-location manufacturing organization.
- Experience using business intelligence or reporting tools to build and maintain payroll reporting.
