We’re looking for a seasoned tax professional with experience supporting Private Equity–backed clients. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in business development, team leadership, and technical expertise across tax planning and compliance.
In this role, you’ll serve as a key leader in Colorado—overseeing a high-performing team and guiding the delivery of tax compliance and consulting services for our Private Equity–backed clients and their investors. You’ll also play an important role in continuing to build Eide Bailly’s presence and credibility in the Private Equity space.
Typical Day in the Life- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and Private Equity stakeholders, building strong, trusted relationships
- Leading tax compliance and consulting efforts, including reviewing complex returns and advising on planning strategies and transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, rollups)
- Providing technical expertise in corporate and flow-through taxation, including areas such as IRC §704(c), §754, §743, §734 adjustments, waterfalls, and preferred returns
- Managing tight deadlines, including return completion and K‑1 delivery
- Reviewing and signing tax returns
- Partnering with internal teams to ensure all aspects of the tax process are completed efficiently and accurately
- Identifying tax‑saving opportunities and bringing practical solutions to clients and engagement teams
- Overseeing client billing and engagement profitability
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
- Staying current on tax regulations and participating in ongoing professional development and networking
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Active CPA license (required)
- 7+ years of tax experience in public accounting
- Strong understanding of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations
- Experience working with Private Equity–backed clients
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and drive business development
- Detail-oriented with strong problem‑solving skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Collaborative, self‑starter mindset with a focus on delivering high‑quality client service
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
Compensation$125,000 - $174,000. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
