Bullpen is partnered with a growing Denver-based real estate investment and operating company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day accounting function.
This is a hands-on position for someone with strong Quick Books experience who can manage accounting across multiple properties and entities, produce accurate financial reporting, oversee external accounting resources, and improve processes as the platform continues to grow.
The Accounting Manager will work closely with company leadership and play a key role in building more scalable accounting systems, controls, and reporting procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage property-level and corporate accounting across multiple real estate entities
- Maintain accurate books and records within Quick Books
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements, general ledgers, and supporting schedules
- Oversee bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash activity
- Review property income, expenses, accruals, capital expenditures, and intercompany transactions
- Support accounting related to acquisitions, development activity, and operating assets
- Coordinate with property managers, operating teams, lenders, investors, and external accounting professionals
- Supervise and review work completed by third-party or offshore accounting resources
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, reporting standards, and Quick Books workflows
- Support budgeting, forecasting, tax preparation, audits, and lender reporting
- Provide leadership with accurate and timely financial information
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with Quick Books Online, Quick Books Enterprise, or both strongly preferred
- Real estate, property accounting, construction, development, or investment management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial statements, and month-end close
- Experience managing multiple entities and intercompany transactions
- Ability to oversee and review internal or external accounting resources
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable improving existing processes
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA is a plus but not required
- Take ownership of the accounting function within a growing real estate platform
- Work directly with company leadership
- Build scalable systems, controls, and reporting processes
