Looking for an accounting leadership opportunity where you can stay close to the work while also developing and leading a team? Our client is hiring a Financial Accounting Supervisor to oversee two accounting professionals and play a hands‑on role across the close, financial reporting, reconciliations, accruals, operational accounting, and financial analysis.

We’re looking for an active CPA with strong corporate accounting experience who enjoys digging into the numbers, improving processes, and helping others grow.

YOUR Why

Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career without moving away from the technical work you enjoy?

This role gives you the opportunity to combine hands‑on accounting with meaningful people leadership. You’ll supervise two Financial Accountants while remaining directly involved in month‑end close, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, reporting, and analysis.

You’ll work across the organization to understand operating results, investigate variances, strengthen accounting processes, and provide management with accurate and meaningful financial information.

It’s a strong opportunity for an experienced CPA who wants greater ownership, broader exposure, and the chance to develop a team while continuing to build technical accounting expertise.

How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days
  • Lead and support a team of two Financial and Senior Financial Accountants, including assigning work, reviewing deliverables, coaching, training, and providing performance feedback.
  • Serve as a go‑to resource for the accounting team on accounting policies, reporting requirements, and month‑end close procedures.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure deadlines are met and financial reporting is complete and accurate.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, management reporting packages, and budget‑to‑actual analyses.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account analyses, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Review account reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure financial records remain accurate, complete, and audit‑ready.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of operating expense and capital expenditure accruals.
  • Partner with teams across the business to analyze operating results, explain cost variances, and identify the key drivers behind financial performance.
  • Prepare and review lease operating statements, capital reports, and operational metrics used by management to evaluate asset performance.
  • Help maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen controls, and create greater efficiency across the close and reporting process.
  • Support interviewing, hiring, mentoring, training, performance management, and continued development of accounting team members.
What YOU Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong corporate or general ledger accounting experience, including month‑end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to research and apply accounting guidance to complex transactions.
  • Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, or reviewing the work of other accounting professionals.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to understand what is driving…
