Staff Accountant | Brilliant®The Tone:
This is a hybrid Staff Accountant role, located in the South Denver metro area, supporting a corporate accounting environment. The position is essential for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial records. This involves core accounting functions, general ledger maintenance, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. It offers a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to learn and grow within the corporate accounting field.

Support the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial records through core accounting and compliance activities. - Tech Stack:
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, accounting systems (preferred)
- Manage Core Accounting:
Prepare and record journal entries to ensure an accurate and timely month-end close. - Ensure Data Accuracy:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP and internal policies, researching and resolving variances as needed. - Support Financial Reporting:
Assist with the preparation of internal financial statements, management reports, and required regulatory filings. - Facilitate Audits:
Support internal and external audit requests by preparing necessary schedules and providing supporting documentation. - Drive Process Improvements:
Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve accounting processes, accuracy, and efficiency, collaborating with various teams.
- Background:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Possesses a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP. - Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment. Direct experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close is essential. - Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective written and verbal communication. - Bonus:
Experience with accounting systems. Demonstrates a collaborative team player mindset with a willingness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility.
