Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payment operations for our team in Denver, Colorado. This position is responsible for reviewing invoices, assigning accurate accounting codes, and helping ensure vendors are paid on time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple transactions in a fast-paced finance environment.

Responsibilities:

- Review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval before processing

- Apply correct general ledger or expense codes to invoices in alignment with company procedures

- Enter and maintain accounts payable records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Prepare and coordinate routine check runs to support timely vendor payments

- Resolve invoice discrepancies by communicating with internal departments and external vendors

- Monitor payment schedules and help maintain organized documentation for audit and reporting purposes

Please note:

This role works M-TH 7a-5p with an hour lunch, but you still get paid for the full 40 hours.

Requirements

- Previous experience supporting accounts payable activities in an office or finance setting

- Working knowledge of invoice review, invoice coding, and payment processing procedures

- Ability to manage check runs and maintain accurate financial records

- Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on data accuracy

- Comfortable handling multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines

- Effective written and verbal communication skills for vendor and team interactions
