This is an opportunity to work across multiple real estate entities and businesses, gaining broad exposure to financial reporting, operations, and client relationships. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, work directly with business owners, and contribute ideas that can make a real difference.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Work across multiple real estate entities, providing variety and broad accounting exposure.
- Have a voice in the accounting function and the opportunity to recommend better ways of doing things.
- Work directly with business owners and accounting professionals rather than operating behind the scenes.
- Take ownership of financial reporting while gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
- Join a team that values initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
- Build your skills and grow professionally in an environment where your contributions are recognized.
What You Will Do
- Manage month-end close and financial reporting for an assigned group of real estate entities.
- Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
- Process payroll and complete related reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
- Analyze financial results and investigate unusual balances, trends, and variances.
- Work directly with business owners and accounting personnel to answer questions and resolve issues.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and management reporting.
- Coordinate year-end accounting information with outside CPAs, tax professionals, and auditors.
- Review work performed by other accounting team members when appropriate.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while communicating proactively and taking ownership of deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, solve problems, and make the accounting function more efficient.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong general ledger, month-end close, reconciliation, and financial statement experience.
- Solid understanding of GAAP.
- Strong Excel and accounting systems skills.
- Real estate or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
- A proactive, driven approach and genuine desire to learn and grow.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to ask questions, share ideas, and work directly with business owners.
