The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of our Hotel Portfolio
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to management.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, including collections and credit control.
- General Ledger
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Bank Reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
- Audit Support
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Other Duties
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Stay updated on accounting principles and industry best practices.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 0 - 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
