The Senior Accountant will take ownership of key accounting processes and play an important role in the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of financial reporting. This position combines hands-on accounting with analysis, problem-solving, and cross-functional partnership. Key Responsibilities
- Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forwards, and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and communicate findings to finance leadership.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and internal management reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Support consolidation, intercompany, fixed asset, revenue, lease, and accrual accounting as applicable.
- Coordinate audit requests and prepare schedules for external auditors, tax providers, and other partners.
- Review accounting work prepared by junior team members and provide practical coaching and feedback.
- Partner with business leaders to improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
- Document accounting procedures and help strengthen internal controls and close discipline.
- Lead or contribute to system implementations, automation initiatives, and special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; an Accounting degree is preferred.
- Three or more years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience preparing financial statements.
- Demonstrated ownership of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close responsibilities.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify issues, and drive work through resolution.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working within an ERP environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to work across departments.
- Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. /li>
