Job Title: PO/PR Project Coordinator
Location: Denver, CO
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Compensation: $38.00–$43.00 hourly
Work Schedule: Hybrid
The role offers exposure to large-scale construction projects and valuable experience within a major utility organization. This is a new position within the department focused on managing the purchase requisition (PR) and purchase order (PO) process.
Responsibilities- Responsible for processing and approving purchase orders, managing vendors, matching invoices to purchase orders, and supporting reporting related to spend.
- Deliverables include accurate PR/PO processing, vendor coordination, invoice matching, and contribution to spend and cost reports that differentiate vendor costs across programs.
- Highly repetitive and data‑driven.
- Daily activities include data entry, matching invoices to purchase orders, managing PR/PO workflows, working with vendors, and contributing to reporting.
- Over time, the contractor is expected to assist with creating reports related to vendor spend and program cost comparison.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Construction Managers.
- Part of a tightly integrated group supporting construction projects, including a developing team of on‑site Construction Managers.
- Supports internal stakeholders (Project Managers, Construction Managers) and external vendors.
- Primarily an individual contributor role, but highly collaborative.
- Close coordination with Project Managers and Construction Managers to ensure the PR/PO process runs successfully.
- 1–3 years of experience managing the purchase requisition (PR) and purchase order (PO) process.
- Preferred background includes utilities, government, or public entities, though this is not required.
- Data analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Experience with purchase orders / purchasing processes.
- Vendor management experience.
- Project management exposure.
- Collaboration and teamwork.
- Ability to work independently with limited hand‑holding.
- Problem‑solving.
- Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, corporate environment.
- Initiative and accountability.
Hybrid role. Initially, the resource may be onsite more frequently for training. Long‑term expectation is once per month onsite for group meetings, with the remainder being virtual.
Not a 100% remote role.
