Position Summary
The CU System Office of Advancement provides excellent customer service, strategy, expertise, and efficiency to our partners on CU’s campuses and at the University of Colorado Foundation. This Data Quality Specialist role ensures that the donor/alumni database(s) for the Office of Advancement are accurate, trustworthy, and up to date. The specialist analyzes, monitors, and maintains data quality, identifies and remedies integrity issues, and supports data enhancement projects and governance efforts.

Applicants must be Colorado residents or be able to relocate to Colorado within one month of employment. The position may be hybrid (part remote, part in‑office, Denver) or fully in‑office. The assistant director of data management is fully remote; most team members work hybrid.
Duties and Responsibilities- Receives, collects, and enters information using related tools, applying research, analysis, and problem‑solving skills while adhering to policies and procedures.
- Uses current indexing and coding standards within the database to ensure data input is usable; advocates for new or updated standards and documents updates.
- Provides high‑level customer service when handling requests from internal and external customers, representing Advancement and the University professionally, and managing the Data Management email inbox.
- Resolves duplicate records in the Advancement CRM using research, analytics, and multiple tools, collaborating with other teams to prevent duplicates.
- Engages in projects focused on data management, data quality, governance, and supporting processes and documentation, partnering with technical and business roles across the organization.
- Assists or leads training and instruction on processes, policies, or other relevant subjects (e.g., for student employees).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The anticipated hiring rate is $53,843.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (year‑for‑year substitution).
- One (1) year of equivalent experience directly associated with the primary job function(s) of the position.
- Two (2) years’ equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of CU.
- Collaboration skills, including working with diverse teams.
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and proficiency with new software and systems. - Interpersonal skills, facilitating communication and teamwork.
- Oral, written, and listening communication skills, accurately interpreting and conveying information.
