This role is an on‑site Administrative Assistant who supports the Mail Services team at the Department of Revenue. Responsibilities include the full lifecycle of mail and packages, logistics, documentation, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Operate state fleet vehicles (vans or box trucks) to transport mail, supplies, and equipment between facilities.
- Log, sort, process, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail, including high‑volume operations using specialized mail‑room equipment.
- Process returned warrants, research unclear addresses, and maintain accurate tracking logs and reports.
- Manage dock deliveries, perform security screenings, and coordinate notifications for package pickups.
- Provide customer service support to taxpayers and internal staff, fulfilling requests for tax forms and official documents.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a professional office setting performing tasks such as mailing, package delivery, operating state fleet vehicles, lifting boxes up to 50 pounds, and computer/technology use.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds regularly during an 8‑hour shift.
- Experience working in a mail center or mailroom.
- Experience operating a postage meter.
- Experience driving a box truck with a lift gate or cargo van.
- Experience with data entry, attention to detail, customer service, and computer/math skills.
