About This Unit
This unit is responsible for accurate and timely collection and reporting of hours worked and leave for Department employees, payment and reporting of wages, benefits, and deductions, and serves over 5,000 employees across multiple agencies.
About This PositionThis position runs the front entry space, enters all new hires, audits terminated employee files, and manages the payroll ticketing system for all issues, complaints, and submissions.
Summary ofJob Duties
- Manage the ticketing system for all submissions to the Payroll Department, assess and assign tickets, follow up on ticket status based on processing guidelines, ensure timely resolution or escalation.
- Enter new employees using eClearance and Kronos, ensuring full and accurate entry within 24 business hours, route incomplete information, and document actions in the PAF document.
- Audit terminated employee files monthly, verify receipt, review mandatory items, and mark files for destruction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Five years of experience in an occupation related to ticketing system management, data management, or administrative support.
- Or a combination of related education and experience equal to five years.
- Executive level support experience.
- Government, accounting, payroll and timekeeping experience.
- Website management experience.
- Ticket system management experience.
- Experience with large data sets, design and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft or Google applications.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with project management or event planning experience.
- Standard background checks, including name check, TRAILS, CMS, and JBITS.
- Must be a Colorado resident at time of application and throughout employment.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license if required to drive a state-owned vehicle.
- Other program-specific conditions as applicable.
- May file an appeal with the State Personnel Board or request a review by the State Personnel Director.
- Follow the official appeal process provided on the State Personnel Board website.
- Review applicable mailing, email, fax options and timescales.
