Position Overview

The Denver Art Museum is seeking an Executive Assistant (Full Time, Exempt) to provide administrative support to two senior executives. The position is located in Denver, CO and offers a salary range of $62,400 to $83,200 per year.

Position type:
This position is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement with AFSCME-CWU.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage and support the Deputy Directors’ schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements as needed.
  • Serve as liaison to the Museum’s Board of Directors and provide organizational support to Board and Advisory Committees.
  • Manage and prepare materials, presentations, and minutes for meetings.
  • Assist in creating and editing memos, policies, procedures, internal and external communications, and PowerPoint presentations for executives.
  • Provide support in the preparation and collection of information for the Museum’s annual planning process, financial audit, regulatory filings, and surveys.
  • Assist with the management of institutional and departmental digital records and maintain the Museum’s legal records and files.
  • Serve as backup to the Director’s executive assistant, including communications with the Board of Directors.
  • Occasional evening commitments and communication outside of normal business hours.
  • Foster inclusivity and collaboration with staff, volunteers, Trustees, patrons, members, and visitors.
  • Provide organizational support and event planning for visits with museum colleagues and partners.
  • Support annual work planning and project management, administration, and coordination as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strong computer, organizational, communications, and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and project‑management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple activities and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with constantly changing priorities and to tackle new projects independently with minimal oversight.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of four years as an executive assistant.
