Overview

The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) is seeking an Administrative Assistant III-Lead for its Mail & Retrieval Services work unit in Driver Control. In this role, the successful candidate will use computer skills to input data, generate reports, and ensure accurate recording of information. Leadership skills are needed to schedule work, supervise staff, and train employees to meet department standards.

Primary Duties
  • Lead Worker—schedule work, set work standards, support supervision, manage performance documentation, act as supervisor in absence, assist with system testing, and initiate the hiring process.
  • Train, Monitor, and Assign Duties—train staff on procedures and equipment, assign and monitor tasks, identify efficiency improvements, maintain procedures, assist with system testing, and prepare documents.
  • Statistics and Reporting—collect, record, and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly statistics; update spreadsheets; maintain logs; provide data analysis.
Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of customer service experience with high-volume mail processing, data entry, and analytical skills.
  • OR a combination of related education in Business, Training, Higher Education, Technology or related field and/or seven (7) years of professional experience in developing and delivering business systems training to adult learners in a classroom or virtual setting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience in a professional office setting.
  • Career progression in a general clerical and/or customer service position.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, especially Google Sheets.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptability in a changing work environment.
  • Experience with high-volume data entry or mail center workplace with stringent processes.
  • Skill in navigating difficult conversations and handling conflict when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and via email.
