The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of a busy hearing aid clinic. This role is responsible for scheduling appointments, greeting patients, managing phone calls, maintaining accurate patient records, processing insurance information, and assisting the Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic calendar.
- Verify insurance benefits and collect patient payments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Prepare and organize paperwork for patient visits.
- Assist with hearing aid check-in/check-out procedures and basic office support.
- Process referrals, medical records, and other administrative documentation.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Perform general office duties, including filing, scanning, and data entry.
Qualifications:
- Previous receptionist, medical office, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office; experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and patient confidentiality.
