ACE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, founded in 2000 in Denver, Colorado, to provide low-income children with equal access to quality K-12 private schools through partial scholarship support. Over the past 25+ years, ACE has delivered more than 140,000 scholarships worth over $390 million. This school year, ACE is serving approximately 16,000+ children in Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming, and is actively pursuing other expansion opportunities with the support of national funding partners.

Position Overview

The Development Coordinator is a part-time role that supports ACE Scholarships' Colorado and National Development teams by providing administrative, project coordination, donor stewardship, and document development support. This position plays an important role in helping the Development team execute fundraising initiatives, communicate professionally with donors and stakeholders, and keep projects, files, and communications organized and moving forward.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technologically proficient, an exceptional communicator, and enjoys working behind the scenes to help a mission-driven team succeed. This role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting a collaborative, high-performing Development team.

Job Responsibilities

Development Team Support

  • Provide project support to the Colorado and National Development teams.
  • Assist with the tactical implementation of strategic fundraising initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage projects to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Prepare materials for meetings, presentations, donor visits, and events.
Donor Relations & Stewardship
  • Support donor stewardship activities, including acknowledgement letters, thank-you correspondence, and gratitude management.
  • Assist with donor communications and follow-up.
  • Help maintain accurate donor records and organized development files.
  • Ensure timely, thoughtful, and professional communication with donors and stakeholders.
Presentation & Document Development
  • Create professional PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Prepare reports, proposals, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
  • Assist with formatting and editing fundraising materials and executive communications.
Information Management & Administrative Coordination
  • Organize and maintain electronic files and development documentation.
  • Manage departmental records and ensure information is accurate and accessible.
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and other development functions as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to write professional correspondence.
  • Ability to interact professionally with donors, executives, clients, and individuals at all levels of an organization.
