University of Denver - DU - Fritz Knoebel School Hospitality Management Department

Essential Functions:
  • Manage inventory levels for the academic and event teams.
  • Maintain and update student manual for role.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of copy room.
  • Print thank you notes to departmental donors.
  • Sort mail for department.
  • Create/maintain forms and spreadsheets as needed for departmental staff.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the professional atmosphere of the Department.
  • Answer the phone and accurately record messages or transfer calls to appropriate contact within the Department.
  • Assist Career and Student Services with special projects and campus events.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and all visitors.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Some level of creativity
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Courteous and professional demeanor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Required Qualifications
  • Work study award eligibility required
  • Open only to students in the Daniels School of Business, with priority given to students in the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3.0+ GPA preferred, all applicants considered.
Working Environment
  • Academic office setting with quarterly event preparation cycles.
Physical Activities
  • Occasional physical work and walking across campus, and may include re-organization/inventory of closets and work room space.
Time Commitment
  • 10 hours/week
