HDR’s Building Engineering Services group partners with clients in Science & Technology, Mission Critical and Commercial projects, designing critical infrastructure that powers the digital age. The Data Center Project Coordinator plays a central role in supporting project managers to coordinate architects, engineers, contractors and team members from proposal through construction administration.
Data Center Project CoordinatorLocated in Denver, Colorado, this position requires a proactive, detail‑oriented individual who can mentor junior coordinators while managing multi‑disciplinary design projects.
Primary DutiesAssist with managing behind‑the‑scenes efforts for successful project delivery. Support project management of multidisciplinary design teams from conception to completion, focusing on organizational skills and follow‑through.
Mentoring & Managing- Help grow a collaborative environment that promotes career growth, high‑quality construction documents and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate the work of multidisciplinary design teams.
- Mentor, organize, and facilitate staff development.
- Coordinate workload to meet project development schedules.
- Support mission‑critical staff recruiting and retention.
- Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards.
- Support project team members in document completion, including formatting, word processing, editing and organization of project documents, reports and correspondence.
- Create, develop and edit PDF files, Word documents, templates, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
- Apply company quality assurance guidelines for project document management.
- Assist with preparing project progress reports for monthly invoicing.
- Set up project meetings and prepare detailed minutes.
- Provide administrative support during project execution, including meeting coordination, accurate file maintenance, document control and status updates.
- Perform technical editing of deliverables for clarity, consistency, and correctness.
- Establish a document filing, distribution, retrieval and management system for critical records.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Travel to job sites or other HDR offices occasionally.
- Experience at an Architecture/Engineering firm.
- Local candidate preference.
- Strong desire to stay current with mission‑critical industry trends.
- Technical writing skills.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
- Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 1 year related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Compensation is based on skill, experience, education and location: $25.69–$36.70 per hour (Colorado).
