As a Detailer at Car Max, you'll help deliver a great car-buying experience by cleaning, detailing, and reconditioning used vehicles to high standards. Working on the 1st shift in a fast-paced retail environment, you'll wash, vacuum, buff, and polish vehicles, apply protective treatments, and follow quality checklists to ensure each car is showroom-ready. You'll use proper tools and safety procedures, collaborate with service and sales teams, and support Car Max's customer-first, integrity-driven culture with opportunities for training and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors to Car
• Max standards
• Vacuum, shampoo, and sanitize interiors, including carpets and upholstery
• Wash, dry, buff, and polish vehicle exteriors and glass surfaces
• Apply waxes, sealants, and other protective treatments as directed
• Inspect vehicles for cosmetic flaws and report issues to reconditioning team
• Follow work orders, checklists, and quality-control procedures
• Use detailing tools and chemicals safely and maintain a clean work area
• Coordinate with service and sales teams to meet production timelines
• Adhere to safety, PPE, and environmental handling guidelines
