The Product and Inventory Manager, Canyon Spirit, reports to the Director, Product Management. The position will contribute to our tourism-focused product and inventory management function within our Canyon Spirit division, with a primary focus on creating and refining travel packages as well as planning and implementation of all product inventory and yield requirements for our Canyon Spirit network. This position is responsible for overseeing the management and performance of three key areas: (1) Package Development, to develop attractive travel packages and products for Canyon Spirit;

(2) Partner and Industry Relations, to ensure positive partner and industry relationships and represent Canyon Spirit and Armstrong Collective wherever necessary; and (3) Yield and Inventory, to maximize hotel availability and profitability.

The incumbent must be a detail-oriented leader who continuously seeks out operational efficiencies. This position will work with internal and external teams and partners focusing on various strategies and initiatives through to completion.

A strong commitment to safety and operational standards is essential, including participating in and leading Emergency Operations under the Incident Command System (ICS).

Key Areas of Accountability Package Development
  • Lead the design and evolution of destination-focused travel packages, to enhance guest satisfaction and deepen engagement with our Canyon Spirit product.
  • Develop and modernize products and packages by analyzing market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence. Proactively identify opportunities, address objections, and assess the commercial viability of product elements.
  • Strategically uncover new revenue opportunities and optimize existing one to maximize profitability.
  • Align internal stakeholders around new product opportunities ensuring clear communication, consensus building, and timely execution of changes across teams.
Inventory Management
  • Design, develop and implement strategies that maximize hotel availability and revenue potential, ensuring consistent package offerings and responsiveness to market demand.
  • Oversee hotel allotment planning across all properties based on package design, rail capacity and historical demand data to inform decisions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate hotel demand forecasts distributing insights to internal teams to enhance operational planning and responsiveness.
  • Partner with Procurement and Destinations teams to maximize hotel block through strong partner relations and fiscally prudent procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with System Operations, Onboard and Destinations and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and alignment
Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying systemic inefficiencies and implementing strategic solutions.
  • Identify current roadblocks from a systematic and collaborative lens and recommend/implement improvements that support operational excellence.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to completion through various communication and collaborative streams.
Qualifications Education / Certifications / Knowledge
  • Minimum of two years of post-secondary education (diploma) in business, tourism or a related field required; an undergraduate degree is considered an asset. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must possess a valid US Driver License and have access to a reliable vehicle for travel between work locations
Experience
  • 3-5 years of management experience within the tourism/hospitality industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of the travel and hotel industry in Colorado and Utah.
  • Experience with yield management / managing inventory and producing detailed analysis.
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of travel reservations’ systems
