Position Overview:

SMB Sales Execution Manager

The SMB Sales Execution Manager owns the execution, efficiency, and integrity of the SMB sales motion. This role ensures SMB sales processes are clear, scalable, and consistently followed—while identifying and eliminating friction that slows deal velocity or creates downstream issues. This person is the operational backbone of the SMB sales team, partnering closely with sales reps, frontline leaders, Order Management, and cross‑functional teams to ensure fast, accurate, and compliant deal execution  role acts as the primary advocate for SMB execution needs with Product and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities SMB Sales Execution & Process Ownership
  • Act as the primary operational partner to SMB sales reps and frontline managers
  • Own SMB deal execution workflows, ensuring speed, accuracy, and consistency
  • Serve as the point of escalation for sales process questions, edge cases, and exceptions
  • Identify recurring execution issues, order errors, and bottlenecks—and drive corrective action
  • Balance speed vs. precision to protect deal integrity in a high‑volume environment
  • Maintain clear documentation, playbooks, and job aids to reduce rep friction and errors
Order Execution & Deal Quality
  • Support day‑to‑day deal execution, including pricing guidance and order submission support
  • Perform quality assurance on SMB orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Partner closely with the Order Management Analyst to resolve order issues and corrections
  • Support order changes, escalations, and non‑standard deal structures to keep deals moving
  • Ensure SMB deals align with pricing, licensing, and content eligibility requirements
Reporting, Insights & Continuous Improvement
  • Serve as SMB execution SME for CRM, CPQ, and order management tools
  • Identify automation and workflow improvements to reduce manual steps and rework
  • Translate SMB execution needs into clear, actionable input for Product and Engineering
  • Participate in testing, validation, and rollout of system changes impacting SMB sales
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Billing, and Operations to resolve execution dependencies
  • Help define and reinforce execution SLAs between Sales and downstream teams
System, Tools & Cross Functional Coordination
  • Support SMB sales reporting and data integrity related to bookings, volume and execution KPIs
  • Track and monitor execution metrics (order accuracy, cycle time, fallout, rework)
  • Surface trends and insights that impact rep productivity and deal velocity
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to recommend execution‑focused improvements
  • Ensure SMB execution workflows scale effectively as volume grows
What We’re Looking For
  • 4–7 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Support, or Sales Enablement roles
  • Experience supporting transactional, high‑volume SMB sales motions
  • Hands‑on experience with CRM and order management systems (Salesforce, CPQ tools preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills, including working with large datasets to validate and reconcile sales data
  • Comfortable working directly with sales reps, managers, and senior sales leadership
  • Process‑driven mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Systems‑fluent, but execution‑focused
  • Proven ability to influence cross‑functional partners without direct authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
