The Analyst will work closely with management to oversee a portfolio of multifamily properties in a geographic region and assist in the execution of property specific asset business plans. The Analyst will also be responsible for assisting in acquisition activity in a geographic region which includes sourcing, underwriting, and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities- Create, update, and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial monitoring tools
- Draft quarterly reports to investors to detail distribution amounts and property operations
- Conduct quarterly site visits to meet with onsite staff, discuss operations, examine property condition, and review recent and upcoming capital work
- Assist in developing asset business plans for each property and provide oversight on operations and capital expenditures to meet or exceed pro forma
- Negotiate vendor agreements for onsite capital work and recurring property services
- Identify trends and issues and make recommendations to increase income or capture cost savings
- Oversee annual operating budget process and approval
- Assist in the refinancing or sale of assets
- Establish and develop a network of relationships with brokers and owners to increase deal flow
- Maintain a pipeline of properties in a specific region and provide weekly updates to management on potential acquisitions
- Present acquisition opportunities internally to HVG team members
- Submit letters of intent on opportunities
- Create investor offering memorandums and internal investment committee presentations
- Manage all investor level documents and communication for capital raise on new acquisitions and ongoing property updates to investors
- Oversee due diligence process for new property acquisitions including unit walks, capital scope, asset business plan creation, and market research
- Assist with property closings including communication with seller, title company, and property management
- Complete all other duties as assigned
- 0-2 years of analytical experience; preferably multifamily focused
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or other business-related fields
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

- Ability to travel overnight up to 2‑3 times per month
