POSITION SUMMARYSteamboat Resort is looking for new ski patrol team members for the 2026/2027 Winter Season.
We will be hosting a Ski Patrol Hiring/Skiing Clinic on March 29th at 8:00am. Please submit an application here in order to participate. If contacted, you will meet at the Timber & Torch restaurant with your boots on and ready to ski. All participants must be expert level skiers, telemarkers or snowboarders and able to handle all terrain in any condition.
GENERALCLINIC INFORMATION
- No walk-ins allowed - clinic is limited to 35 participants
- Candidates must complete an online employment application in advance and will complete a Liability Waiver form on Sunday morning
- Candidates will meet at Timber & Torch at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area at 8:00am March 29th ready to go skiing
- First Aid credentials are not required to participate in the hiring clinic but are required prior to possible winter employment
- Completion of the skier ability clinic does not ensure a position on Ski Patrol next season
- Responsible for skier education
- Respond to emergency situations at the ski area and administer first aid to injured individuals
- Responsible for assisting in patrolling the ski area boundaries
- Assist with clearing ski lift areas as directed, sweeping of trails to ensure that all skiers are down at the end of the day
- Assist with ski and boot packing of the ski area as directed
- Responsible for assisting with the construction and maintenance of barriers
- Assist with crowd control as directed
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 years of previous work history/education required
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Candidates will need to be currently certified and able to present proof of either of the following - Colorado certified EMT or Outdoor Emergency Care and CPR- prior to employment
- Must have valid drivers license and meet insurability standards
- Must be able to operate a snowmobile in a safe manner and be knowledgeable of safe and operating procedures after training
- Must be able to handle stressful situations and possess excellent public relations/communications skills
- Ability to adhere to all safety policies
- Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
