About the Role

We make fiber lasers, and we need an experienced Market Development Manager to develop major strategic accounts and identify new business opportunities within quantum technology markets.

As part of our global Market Development team you will report directly to the Senior Market Development Manager, interact with Sales, Market Development & Strategic Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Key Customer, Partners, and Ecosystem Stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Mapping key players, ecosystems, and value chains within relevant quantum segments
  • Developing a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements through frequent customer engagement and visits
  • Supporting development of business cases and contributing to product and roadmap discussions related to quantum technology
  • Engaging with strategic accounts at an early stage to satisfy customers and grow long‑term business relationships
  • Identifying, analyzing, and developing new business opportunities within quantum technology markets
  • Understanding customer requirements and applications and translating market insights into actionable commercial opportunities
  • Actively participating in trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events relevant to key accounts and quantum technology
Qualifications
  • Degree in a STEM field (Master’s or higher preferred)
  • At least five years of professional experience in key account management, business development, sales or market development within photonics, quantum technology, or related high‑technology industries
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and grow long‑term key account relationships
  • Strong analytical and structured approach to market and opportunity assessment, excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Travel Expectations

30‑40% annually, globally.
