Overview
Helly Hansen is seeking a data‑driven professional to support the region’s merchandise planning and inventory management function. The role focuses on planning, forecasting, fulfillment, and inventory management for Helly Hansen brand stores, outlets, and e‑commerce channels in North America. This position reports to the Director, NA Merchandise Planning and will be based in Denver, CO (hybrid, in‑office 3 days per week).
Key Responsibilities- Provide data‑driven decisions for seasonal planning, merchandising, and inventory management across DTC channels and product lines for the region.
- Analyze and adjust assortment strategies, product mix, and inventory levels to deliver profitable growth and inventory turn.
- Co‑create and define product and inventory strategy for e‑commerce, brand store, and outlet channels to optimize marketplace performance.
- Deliver in‑season and post‑mortem seasonal analysis and communicate insights to improve future seasons, including support for site merchandising, marketing, and digital initiatives.
- Partner with planning stakeholders to ensure that seasonal assortments and forecasts align with financial budgets.
- Consistently update in‑season projections to support demand planning, supply planning, and allocation teams’ analysis.
- Recommend and execute product transfers between channels throughout the season to optimize inventory; align closely with allocation planning team.
- Collaborate with key teams to identify and implement new systems, technologies, processes, and tools to drive operational efficiency.
- Ensure day‑to‑day actions ladder up to Merchandise Planning team and organizational goals.
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify commercial opportunities and regional needs.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, process orientation, and data‑driven decision making.
- 2–5 years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation, buying, inventory management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in retail, supply chain, or related field.
- Experience with planning and allocation systems is preferred.
- Confidence in Excel and comfort with analyzing large data sets.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and openness to ambiguity.
- Proved success in diverse, cross‑functional collaboration, strong communication skills, and ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi‑time‑zone environment.
Ability to travel up to 25%, including international travel.
CompensationCompetitive compensation range: $85,000 to $120,000 per year (USD).
