Business Attraction Program Manager
City and County of Denver – Denver, CO.
Responsibilities- Support domestic and global business attraction efforts under the Associate Director for Global Engagement and Business Attraction.
- Conduct research on potential business prospects and prepare presentation materials.
- Coordinate logistics for business attraction activities, including missions, conferences, and trade show exhibitions.
- Respond to RFPs, organize site visits, and program speaking engagements for executive leadership.
- Maintain a robust prospect pipeline and manage CRM data in Salesforce.
- Draft reports, briefing memos, speaking remarks, event flyers, and social media content in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
- Develop and distribute marketing collateral such as brochures, invitations, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Build and maintain relationships with local business leaders, chambers, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in market research, data analysis, and briefing paper preparation for foreign direct investment prospects.
- Participate in community events and after‑hour activities to strengthen partnership networks.
- Support city departments and agencies in leveraging relationships and expertise to promote Denver.
- Compile information for monthly reports and track prospect activity.
- Strong program‑management experience with business growth at local and international levels.
- Collaborative, team‑focused mindset with adaptability to fast‑paced, cross‑functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual proficiency strongly desired.
- Comfortable interacting with VIP guests, visitors, and foreign dignitaries.
- Well‑networked with a solid understanding of Denver’s business ecosystem and stakeholders.
- Professional demeanor and ability to engage with C‑suite and international business leaders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or a related field. - Experience:
Three (3) years of full‑performance professional experience developing, implementing, and administering programs. - Equivalency:
One (1) year of relevant experience may substitute for each required year of post‑high‑school education.
- Competitive salary ($74,276.00 – $95,000.00 per year, based on experience).
- Guaranteed life‑long monthly pension, 457B Retirement Plan.
- 140 hours of PTO earned within first year plus 12 paid holidays, one personal holiday, one wellness day, and one volunteer day per year.
- Medical, dental, and vision plans effective within one month of start date.
- Hybrid workplace model; on‑site work three days a week at Wellington
