Senior Business Analyst – Exchange Traded Fund Services
As a Senior Business Analyst for Exchange Traded Fund Services, you will work closely with your Fund Accounting and Fund Administration product, sales, and operations teammates to coordinate the ongoing design and development of business‑critical systems. You will liaise with Apex Group level technology and system vendor counterparts, develop, manage, end‑to‑end test, and deploy these systems. You will work with the business to manage new product and client implementations, control risk, ensure high quality, and meet agreed deadlines.
You will also help the team review legacy VBA databases to troubleshoot production issues and work on a broader project to migrate all databases to a central Group‑level technology platform. In addition, you will support the Technology support help desk to understand the practical business reasons for daily jobs and routines that require ongoing support.
The position reports to the Senior Manager, SVP of Business Support.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze process flows
- Create and execute test plans
- Conceptualize and improve process flow
- Read software and application user manuals
- Execute test scripts and document test results
- Coordinate client product implementations
- Research technical issues
- Other reasonable related and administrative duties
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related professional experience (preferred)
- Practical related business experience with a Fund Service Provider (preferred)
- Experience working with Exchange Traded Funds
- Experience with VBA databases
- Proven understanding of business processes
- Familiarity with creating and executing test plans
- Capability to analyze and improve process flows
- Reasonable familiarity with development tools
- Developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong and creative analytical skills
- Ability to self‑teach via reading user manuals
- Strong understanding of audit and control concepts
- Prior experience with Invest One, FIS TA, or Confluence is a plus
Locations:
Portland, ME / Denver, CO / Charlotte, NC / Dallas, TX / Delaware / Boston, MA
Salary ranges from USD $70,000.00 – USD $80,000.00 plus additional discretionary yearly bonus based on corporate and individual performance.
