Position: Utilities Right of Way Agent at ORC

Utilities Right of Way Agent – Full‑time, onsite position based in Denver, CO. The role supports the acquisition of rights‑of‑way for distribution and electrical transmission projects within a 50‑mile radius of the ORC Denver office.

What You’ll Do
  • Acquire Right‑of‑Way rights for distribution and electrical transmission projects in accordance with project guidelines and regulations.
  • Support the Project Manager (PM) and project team members.
  • Prepare real estate documents.
  • Conduct basic property research for ownership and boundary information.
  • Communicate with property owners and their representatives regarding right of way acquisition.
  • Perform general administrative tasks.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Right of Way Acquisition experience.
  • Active Colorado Notary or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to access ORC’s systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Bonus Points
  • Experience working on electric transmission projects.
  • Previous real estate experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to communicate in person, via phone and e‑mail.
  • Substantial repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing.
  • Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen.
  • Occasionally required to move around office to access files and equipment.
  • Occasional travel to government buildings, including driving for long durations.
