Location & Schedule

The City and County of Denver support a hybrid workplace model. In this position you can expect to work on site at least 3 of the 5 days per week at the Denver International Airport. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

The DEN Asset Management program consists of three strategic pillars:
Asset Data & Governance, Lifecycle Planning, and Infrastructure Reliability which includes elements such as Planning, Estimating, Scheduling, and Analytics, and Digital Facilities and Infrastructure.

The Associate Project Manager’s role is to support the Asset Management team; specifically, the lifecycle planning and infrastructure reliability functions. The role includes leveraging IBM Maximo (Enterprise Asset Management – EAM) to support asset lifecycle management and operational efficiency initiatives. It also includes assisting with condition assessments, reviewing asset data, developing lifecycle forecasts & capital planning recommendations, and creating programing level project scope documents.

This role works closely with project managers, engineers, maintenance, planners, and operations staff to ensure asset information is accurate, well‑documented, and effectively used to support data‑driven decision‑making across the asset lifecycle.

Specifically, as the Associate Project Manager, you will:

  • Support the planning and execution of asset condition assessments for airport facilities, systems and infrastructure, including coordinating site visits, tracking assessment progress, and documenting findings.
  • Oversee procurement, scoping, and administration of professional services contracts supporting condition assessments, lifecycle modeling, and data collection.
  • Review, organize, and analyze asset data related to condition, risk, lifecycle, and performance.
  • Develop maintenance, repair, and capital renewal recommendations based on condition assessment results and asset management standards.
  • Support capital planning reviews for new construction, rehabilitation, and expansion projects by validating asset condition assumptions, scope completeness, and long‐term O&M impacts.
  • Engage stakeholders and delivery partners to gather requirements, validate needs, and translate conversations into structured project definitions and business cases.
  • Support cross functional meetings and collaborate with project managers, engineers, maintenance staff, and airport divisions to ensure alignment on recommendations.
