Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project Management

Coordination of cross-departmental teams, vendors, contractors, and external partners, to develop and implement scheduling and metadata strategies, as well as programming goals across FSTV's platforms. This involves coordination and technology across the FSTV website, over the top applications, broadcast, and mobile applications, including developing technologies, such as AI. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with Programming, Development, and Marketing teams to create scheduling grids, formats, assets, and daily broadcast logs that meet strategic goals
  • Working with external and internal teams to coordinate the receipt of all recorded and live media assets, including media ingest, processing, editing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and delivery to Master Control ready for air
  • Leading initial asset retrieval for distribution to end points for new content partners
  • Entering acquisitions data and archiving/documenting/achieving deal agreements and details
  • Correcting last-minute timing issues, log changes, and errors, as needed
  • Planning, development, and implementation of special projects related to scheduling and EPGs
  • Maintenance and oversight of broadcast and scheduling libraries, including regular purge processes, creating new scheduling items, and working with Master Control to manage media storage
  • Producing regular reports, including but not limited to, custom scheduling reports, monthly purge reports, analytics reports, etc.
  • Collaborating in preproduction preparation, production coverage and post production for special events
  • Assisting in on-site, local (Denver metro area) mobile productions as needed for setup, production, breakdown, etc. Occasional out-of-state travel.
  • Facilitation of related team meetings as needed
Relationship Management

Representation of the organization externally through relationship management with vendors, such as, but not limited to, Broadview, LTN, Comcast Technology Solutions, Nielsen, Gracenote, program partners, and others as needed. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing vendors with weekly scheduling updates that include updated reports for contingency plans for alternate programming
  • Coordinating alternate programming plans as needed. Maintaining daily and weekly program hosts' vacations, scheduled absences, and unanticipated absences
  • Developing durable relationships with vendors for on-going professional development and process improvement
  • Producing and working troubleshooting tickets to completion
  • Assisting in scouting and developing relationships with potential content partners based on content rubric standards
  • Onboarding new program partners and assisting with on-going relationship building
General team support as needed Travel Requirements

Working Hours

Working hours are typically 9am MT - 5pm MT, Monday through Friday. This position does not require regular weekend or evening hours, and is not expected to exceed an average work week.

Exempt Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of 4 years education and/or experience working with broadcast and digital scheduling systems.
  • The ability to Coordinate projects to meet goals
  • Make autonomous decisions that fit within the strategic direction, resource limitations, and culture of the organization
  • Ability to learn on the job, spot issues, think quickly, and diplomatically deal with complex issues with sound judgment
  • Self accountability, some external direction may be needed
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills, with comfort in a client-facing role
  • Outstanding analytical skills and ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, consensus-oriented environment
  • Comfortable managing multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively
  • Passion for FSTV's mission, values and antiracism commitment, as well as familiarity with progressive media and social justice organizing
