The Police Operations & Training Program Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and administration of the Police Department's training, compliance, and administrative support programs. This position serves as a key advisor to command staff and plays a critical role in ensuring operational readiness, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and organizational effectiveness. This role has significant responsibility for program, budget, and policy oversight, and interagency coordination, directly impacting department performance, liability exposure, and public safety outcomes.

- General Responsibilities
- Advanced knowledge of law enforcement operations, training standards, and regulatory requirements desired
- Strong understanding of organizational leadership, program management, and public sector administration
- Ability to analyze complex issues, develop strategic solutions, and influence decision-making at the command level
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to compliance, records management, and public safety operations
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and grant management
- Ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities, and meet critical deadlines
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and political awareness
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized systems (e.g., POST Portal, records systems)
- Ability to use sound judgement and maintain the strictest confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to detail.

Qualifications:
- Required:
- Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in law enforcement administration, training management, or program leadership.
- Minimum of two (2) years of managing financial oversight in government, law enforcement, military or other regulated environment. Handling line items like equipment, training contracts, invoicing, procurement or controlled materials.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field.
- Experience with POST compliance, accreditation, budgeting, and grant management.

Pay Range:
$77,437.00 - $ Annual
