Position: Operations Specialist (Legal Resources)

Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the General Counsel, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.

Duties WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As an Operations Specialist (Legal Resources), you will:

  • Manage budget and administrative operations, including financial planning, fund monitoring, and interagency agreements.
  • Oversee the office information management system, including data accuracy, system effectiveness, and workload reporting.
  • Provide support for procurement, supply, inventory, and property management operations, including resource coordination and property accountability.
  • Provide human resources support and guidance, including onboarding and HR policy coordination.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

  • Directing budget planning, execution, and compliance while advising leadership on funding needs and reallocations.
  • Managing workload tracking systems and reporting to inform leadership on productivity and resource allocation.
  • Leading procurement, contracts, and facilities operations to ensure compliant and continuous administrative support.
  • Providing HR operations support through onboarding and workforce planning, while consulting on policy development and organizational needs.
