• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, and performing quantity take‑offs for all cost components.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
• Use sophisticated software to evaluate costs and perform risk analysis.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to develop project strategies and plans.
• Conduct cost analysis and set achievable but competitive cost targets.
• Analyze and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers and make recommendations to management.
• Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of cost and statistical data.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in construction estimating.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
• Proven experience in pricing, hard bidding, project estimation, construction estimating, cost management, budgeting, project bidding, and cost analysis.
• Proficient in using estimating software and spreadsheet software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work output.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification from a recognized professional body is an added advantage.
