Responsibilities and Duties
  • Utilize estimating software and tools such as On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, and Excel to prepare professional, accurate bids across projects of varying size and scope
  • Perform scope analysis verification, pre-bid walkthroughs, and post-award on-site evaluations
  • Create detailed and accurate proposals, including scope of work, clarifications, and exclusions
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships to win bids and drive business growth through strong communication and follow-up
  • Collaborate with Project Managers during hand-off meetings to support blue sheets, production schedules, material takeoffs, and schedules of values
  • Support additional divisions as business needs require
Experience and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial or industrial painting, construction, or a closely related industry
  • 5+ years of hands-on commercial painting experience with a strong understanding of coatings and application methods
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction plans
  • Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, and/or Bluebeam
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort interacting directly with customers by phone, email, and in person
