Assistant Construction Manager

The Assistant Construction Manager supports the Construction Project Manager and project team in delivering construction projects safely, on time, and within budget. This role helps manage day-to-day field activities, coordinates with contractors and suppliers, and ensures project requirements are met from construction through close-out.

• Support the Construction Project Manager with daily construction activities
• Help oversee field work to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets are met
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal project teams
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress against milestones
• Monitor construction quality and ensure work complies with drawings, specs, and codes
• Help manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Participate in safety meetings and enforce site safety policies and procedures
• Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and provide regular status updates

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience supporting construction projects (commercial, industrial, or infrastructure preferred)
• Understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment and manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency with project management and documentation tools
