What You’ll DoAs an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in the preconstruction process by developing accurate, competitive cost estimates for civil construction projects. You’ll collaborate with clients, project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to build proposals that are thorough, strategic, and aligned with project goals.
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Performing detailed quantity takeoffs
- Soliciting and analyzing subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Preparing complete, competitive bid proposals
- Managing assigned bids from start to finish
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and cost‑saving strategies
- Maintaining organized documentation and current unit pricing
This role requires someone who can juggle multiple priorities, think critically, and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
What You Bring- Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and construction pricing
- Experience in civil disciplines such as sitework, utilities, grading, demolition, trucking, or environmental work
- Excellent analytical, math, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and contracts
- Strong communication and time‑management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
- Experience with B2W Estimate and AGTEK preferred
- 5+ years of estimating experience preferred
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or CCP/CEP certification) preferred
$87,700 – $193,500 annually
Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
