We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scheduler for our expanding Construction business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project scheduling, project planning, and construction management. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction process, including the ability to recognize areas of concern in schedule sequencing during jobsite visits and suggest improvements. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending kick-off and coordination meetings, preparing monthly schedule progress reports, and working independently while demonstrating strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain construction project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring that all scheduling activities align with project requirements and deadlines.
- Attend kick-off and coordination meetings to familiarize yourself with subcontractors’ key project personnel and with Owner/Clients as applicable and needed.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to identify potential schedule sequencing issues and propose effective solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Prepare and present detailed monthly reports tracking schedule progress for projects, highlighting any deviations from the planned schedule and providing recommendations for corrective action.
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that all project activities are accurately reflected in the schedule.
- Utilize your strong management and leadership skills to support the team in achieving project goals, fostering a positive working environment, and promoting effective communication.
- Act as a key point of contact for all scheduling-related queries, providing expert advice and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scheduler in the Construction industry or a similar role.
- Proficient in Project Scheduling and Project Planning.
- Extensive experience with Primavera P6.
- Solid understanding of Construction Management principles and practices.
- Proven ability to identify schedule sequencing issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
