We are in search of dedicated and experienced Pipelayers to join our construction teams. As a pipelayer at HEI, you will play a crucial role in the execution of our construction projects. Whether it's roadways, bridges, or water infrastructure, your work will have a direct impact on the success and timeliness of our projects
Responsibilities:
* Set proper grades and elevations i.e. flowline, grade stick, string line
* Check slopes for conformance to grading elevations, using levels or lasers
* Connect bell and spigot, sewer and water pipelines
* Cover pipes with aggregate and native material and compact
* Hand dig bell holes to verify existing utility locations
* Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools
* Install and repair water, storm-water and sewer structures and pipe systems within trench shoring shields
* Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisors
* Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors
* Ability to take direction from the Foreman and provide support to peers
* Work safely while adhering to HEI requirements and OSHA regulations
* Maintain dependability and responsibility to be at work on time
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* General knowledge of underground utility work including materials, methods, and tools involved in the installation
* Track record of performing similar tasks safely and accurately
* Ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 60 lbs. on a consistent basis
* Must have flexibility to work nights and weekends
Education and Experience:
Education:
GED or high school diploma
Experience:
1 year experience is preferred; but not required
Pay:$22+ per hour;
