Key Responsibilities:
Field Operations & Site Management:
- Assist the Senior Field Superintendent in overseeing and managing field operations, ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Supervise daily activities on the job site, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and according to specifications.
- Coordinate the work of Installers and Junior Installers, ensuring optimal use of workforce and resources.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control measures, and proper work practices.
- Assist with tile and stone installation tasks as needed to support field operations and maintain project progress.
- Provide direction to field personnel, including assigning daily tasks, monitoring progress, and addressing issues as they arise.
- Assist with the training and development of field personnel, ensuring they adhere to Brekhus' standards of performance, quality, and safety.
- Collaborate with the Senior Field Superintendent to ensure smooth communication across all team members and subcontractors on-site.
- Support the Senior Field Superintendent in monitoring the quality of work on the job site, ensuring it meets the required standards and specifications.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety checks and addressing safety concerns immediately.
- Promote a culture of safety by leading by example and holding team members accountable for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Communicate project updates to the Senior Field Superintendent, keeping them informed of any issues, progress, or changes on-site.
- Assist with the coordination of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager/Estimator and other stakeholders to resolve any issues and adjust schedules as needed.
- Help maintain accurate records of daily jobsite activities, including progress reports, timesheets, material usage, and work orders.
- Submit DAILY Job Report with Raken or system being used by specific project, RFI's and other job sire requests with Project Manager
- Assist in the preparation and review of project documentation, ensuring that all reports are submitted accurately and on time.
- Help manage daily labor schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet project requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that necessary materials and tools are available on-site for the team to perform their work.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective collaboration and project success.
- Address client or subcontractor concerns and communicate any project changes or delays.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in a field supervision role in the construction industry, with a focus on tile and stone installation.
- Experience managing teams and overseeing day-to-day operations on job sites.
Competencies:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a team, coordinate resources, and solve problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety practices, and industry standards.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
- Basic proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Raken, SAGE
100, Project, etc.).
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Tile & Stone installation certifications (e.g., CTI - Certified Tile Installer) are a plus.
- Ability to lift materials (up to 30 lbs.) and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during site visits and in the office.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments, with exposure to various weather conditions, construction equipment, and noisy environments.
- Must have the ability to physically handle and move materials, tools, and equipment on the job site.
- Must have valid work authorization.
- Must pass a drug screening and background check.
- Must be at least 18 years old and flexible in working hours.
- Must be able to travel to multiple job sites within the Denver metro area.
