The Project Manager will manage construction projects across industrial, heavy civil, federal, infrastructure, and related construction environments. The role requires strong project execution, communication, organization, cost and schedule management, and the ability to work effectively with field teams, owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage construction projects from planning through execution and closeout.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, owners, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
- Support project schedules, budgets, documentation, change management, procurement, and client communication.
- Help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on budget, and to high standards of quality.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and help resolve issues in a timely and practical manner.
- Support project reporting, forecasting, cost tracking, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation.
- Travel regularly to AMS Industrial project sites across the contiguous United States.

- US citizenship required due to federal / Department of Defense project requirements.
- 3+ years of project management experience in construction.
- Experience in heavy civil, industrial, federal, infrastructure, or related construction projects.
- Ability to travel regularly to active project sites, including overnight travel.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely and effectively on active construction sites.
- High standards for safety, quality, accountability, and execution.
- Collaborative, growth-oriented team player who wants to contribute to a growing company.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with federal projects, including US Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, Department of Defense, or similar public-sector clients.
- Experience with fixed-price construction projects.
- Experience managing projects of $500K+, ideally in the $1M to $10M range with a 12-18 month duration.
- Exposure to dams, waterways, heavy mechanical systems, utilities, roadwork, sewer, pumping stations, or related infrastructure work.
- Experience using Primavera P6, RMS, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management systems.
- OSHA certification or related safety training.
- Experience working in a small, entrepreneurial, or high-growth construction environment.
This role is based in Lafayette, Colorado. AMS Industrial is open to considering hybrid candidates, including candidates based outside Colorado, depending on individual circumstances and business needs. All candidates must be able to travel regularly to the Lafayette office and to project sites across the United States and, if based outside Colorado, should be located near a major airport. Relocation assistance is available.
