Estimator Role

• The Estimator reports to the Project Manager.
• The Estimator fulfills client appointments in a timely manner and demonstrates a professional demeanor to all potential and current customers.
• The Estimator performs initial site inspections.
• The Estimator assesses projects by identifying project requirements regarding time, labor, and material costs.
• The Estimator reads blueprints and analyzes all other applicable documents to prepare estimates.
• The Estimator acts as the final decision-maker in the calculation, analysis, and adjustment of estimates.
• The Estimator presents estimates to clients in a timely and polite manner and recommends cost‑reduction options.
• The Estimator closes the job by obtaining the signed ATPS (authorization to provide services) from the customer and collecting the deductible, where applicable.
• The Estimator assists the sales team in final project preparation transactions.
• The Estimator maintains thorough records of all project documentation, including estimates, sales receipts, and completion documentation.
• The Estimator provides all site‑collected documents and funds to the project management team.
• The Estimator follows the company‑dictated commission turn‑in procedure.
• The Estimator operates all technology‑related equipment in a professional fashion.
• The Estimator maintains the company vehicle in a customer‑presentable condition and ensures all required maintenance is performed on time.
• The Estimator must be at work at 6:30 a.m. and attend JMR meetings daily.
• The Estimator must be available for emergency on‑call sales.

• Previous construction experience.
• Be trained in and use PSA, Xact Analysis, and Xactimate.
• Obtain Construction Training certification.
• Obtain Xactimate Level 1 certification.
• Operate and understand Matterport.
• Foster positive relationships with team members, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Excellent skills in verbal/written communication, teamwork, accuracy, conflict resolution, cost management, and time management.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be detail‑oriented and follow through to completion of a project.
• Utilize the latest server and cloud‑based computer technology including Xactimate estimating software, Microsoft Office, PSA project management/accounting software, and document management software.
• Strong math skills.
• Must be able to climb ladders, scale roofs, and inspect crawl spaces.
• Meticulous in observation during site inspections.
• May work 48+ hours per week (office hours 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday–Friday).
• May be on call during catastrophic events.
• Perform other responsibilities as required.

• Previous construction experience.
• Experience with PSA, Xact Analysis, and Xactimate a plus.
• Level 1 certification in Xactimate or willingness to obtain.
• Valid Driver’s License and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• No felony convictions.

• Salary $50k – $60k, depending on experience.
• Eligible for a commission plan after 90 days and a favorable review (possible earnings of 50% – 100% of base salary).
