Civil Construction Representative

SEH is currently searching for a Civil Construction Representative to join our Construction Services team.

• Observe construction on Transportation, Civil, and/or Municipal infrastructure projects to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Document day-to-day field and inspection activities, and measure quantities.
• Prepare for and assist with preconstruction meetings, progress, and conflict resolution meetings.
• Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and other SEH personnel.
• Assist in CAD production activities in CAD or office settings if skilled in AutoCAD or Micro Station.
• Assist in development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules, and completing constructability reviews.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Four (4) or more years of experience in the construction field serving as a Construction Project Representative or related role
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and to walk and climb over rough terrain at construction sites
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets SEH’s Driving Program requirements
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site observations; occasional overnight travel may be required
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

• Six (6) or more years of experience as a Construction Project Representative on DOT, County, and/or Municipal projects involving earthwork, concrete and bituminous paving, site improvements, and street/utility construction
• Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or related field
• Possession of applicable DOT Technical Certifications or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment
• Previous experience with AutoCAD or Micro Station

This position requires an MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets SEH’s Driving Program.
