Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. This role drives construction projects from inception to completion, working closely with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. This position offers opportunities for career growth in the Mechanical Construction industry across a diverse range of projects.

• Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of construction projects from beginning to end.
• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and staff.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure project success.
• Utilize RFI process, RFP, submittals, and change orders to manage project activities.
• Prepare, maintain, and update project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Perform quality control tasks to ensure standards and specifications are met.
• Manage the construction management process to keep all aspects running smoothly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot issues during the project and provide effective solutions to stay on track.
• Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders to keep them informed of status.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Related experience as a Skilled Tradesman in Plumbing, Sheet Metal, Piping, or HVAC is also acceptable.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with RFI, RFP, submittals, change orders, and maintaining project schedules.
• Solid knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Strong knowledge of building products, construction details, and applicable rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Excellent time and project management skills with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, and related tools.
